He also mentioned that camping was not allowed, but many people camped in both the parking lot and down in the valley. He gave us a simple map(looks like he draw it himself), and told us not to get lost. Upon arrival a nice lad was there to collect our money. Our initial plan was to park and follow the Bradford ridge trail, but because we were unfamiliar with the land, we opted to go to Bowen ranch. Deep creek hot springs was probably the most marked and “popular” one on the map, so we decided to check it out. We were on an impromptu road trip from the Bay Area to SoCal and back up again. The springs are clothing optional and I would not suggest kids or elderly could swing this hike. If you are prepared the hike is worth it. San Bernardino is darker and hardly has street lights. GPS cut out again on the way out and took around 20 minutes to get it going. You want to get off the rocky dirt unpaved road before the dark. I suggest that you get out there by 8-9am and leave the springs by 2-3pm. There is no tree cover and the sun can be intense. The hike back was steep and challenging since our muscles had been so relaxed in the springs. Once you get down to the icking enjoy! My friend and I spent the day going from the hot springs to jumping in the cold river. The hike down is steep but all down hill, so a person can be thinking.ohh this isn't bad. This road is a rocky unpaved road that goes for about 6 miles to get to the ranch. Put this GPS address into your google maps and print it on paper 6100 Bowen Ranch Road. GPS may cut out and it may try to drop you at the 6 mile trail head. ![]() The route I suggest is the 3.5 mile trail from Bowen Ranch. One trail is a 6 mile in and 6 mile out route. There are two ways to get to the springs. ![]()
